Welcome to Nintendo Weekly
Hello and welcome to Nintendo Weekly!
As a gamer, video games have always been my passion and my hobby. I have enjoyed gaming since the golden days of arcade gaming in the 1980's. That passion grew with my first gaming console, the Nintendo Entertainment System, back in 1991; and was further cemented with gaming on the go with my first Game Boy in 1992. Personally, Nintendo has always being the quintessential example of what gaming is all about: wholesome fun with friends and family, while pushing the boundaries of innovation to avoid stagnation. Unfortunately, such philosophy of innovation has not always been well received by some gaming fans and the corporate media.
While it is understandable that some gamers disagree with Nintendo's philosophies, I believe that the media should be an outlet where impartial news and unbiased opinions are the light of information which gamers like you and me can use in order to take educated decisions and make informed opinions. However, we know that is not the case. Corporate media is filled with special interest stemmed from advertisement money which, while being their main source of revenue, has cause the outlets to become bias (both pro and against Nintendo) in their articles and opinions in fear of losing such revenue. That is why I have created Nintendo Weekly.
Nintendo Weekly is a 100% amateur news website which is ran and maintain by gamers just like you. There are no advertisements, which makes for a cleaner browsing experience while allowing us to give news as unbiased as possible. Here you will find some of the latest gaming news from around the internet directly from Nintendo and other game developer companies. While Nintendo Weekly is geared around Nintendo, we will post occasional news articles about XBOX and Playstation as well. Why you may ask? Because they are an integral part of the gaming industry and community, just as Nintendo is. Without their competitive edge, Nintendo might not be the innovative company it is today; and without Nintendo, simply put, XBOX and Playstation would not be here today.
Sit back and enjoy Nintendo Weekly, and don't forget to follow us on our various social media pages on YouTube, Facebook, Twitter, Tumblr, and Instagram! Thank you!
